                                                                                        April 12, 1930

The records show that Isaac Peeler, 2nd Lieutenant, Company K, 4th Regiment Mississippi Infantry, Confederate States Army, was enrolled August 24, 1861, at Granada, age 32 years. Muster roll for January and February, 1864, last roll on file, shows him absent, sick Surgeon Certificate, Laudeal Springs Hospital Mississippi, January 17, 1864. On May 24, 1864, he applied for sick leave, and the application was approved by the Senior Surgeon of Post, at Officers Hospital, Uniontown, Alabama on May 24, 1864. An Inspection Report dated "in front of Atlanta, Georgia, August 20, 1864, he was accounted for as absent by order of Medical Certificate, date May 1, 1864. No later record of him has been found.
