Dist) to Thomas & Joel Ballenger (same), for $1,650 sold a certain tract
of Land in said Dist. Known by the name of McElhanys land, lying on both
sides of Middle Tyger River. Border: James Reynolds, Edward Smith, John
Loftis, Kilgore, parcel conveyed from Jesse Wheeler to above mentioned
Collins, branch. Supposed to contain 69 acres more or less. Also another
parcel adjoining the above. Supposed to contain 13 acres more or less.

relinquished by Jane Wheeler 15 Jan 1844 to Thomas Ballenger J. Q. Reg. 5

Book Z, "Page 135-136 6 Oct 1845, Whereas Jane Wheeler and others on or
about 19 Apr 1845, did exhibit their bill of complaint in the Court of
Equity, said Bill being exparte praying for sale of lands belonging to the
estate of Jesse Wheeler dec. Cause came to be heard at the extra term of
Aug 1845, when said Court did order that the tracts of land plattes Nos.
2, 3, 4 should be sold at public auction by the Commissioner. T. O. P.
Vernon as Commissioner, did on 6 Oct 1845, dispose of said lot unto D.
Ballenger for $300. Parcel platted as lot No. 3, bounded by lands of
Henry Smith, John Wheeler, Mason & Lot No. 2. Witness Wm. A. Collins 3
Nov 1845 to J. B. Tolleson Clk & Mag Ex off. Reg. 3 Dec 1845. Origl.
Delivered to D. Ballenger 6 Apr 1846."

term of Aug 1845, when said Court did order that the tracts platted Lots
2, 3, 4, should be sold at public auction. T. O. P. Vernon as
Commissioner, did on 6 Oct 18145, sell the lot unto John Staggs for $260.
